All BIMA members must be involved in the interactive advertising/marketing business and demonstrate one or more of the following qualities:

• Responsible for allocating an interactive advertising budget, either at a client advertiser or an agency on behalf of a client(s)
• Responsible for fostering agency/client contacts with the end goal of generating sales for an interactive media vehicle. 
• Work at a company that provides a service or product or technology that increases the body of knowledge of interactive advertising (this product/service/technology must be used directly in administering interactive advertising campaigns).

Membership in BIMA is free for brands/marketers, and advertising agency professionals who are responsible for buying online media for their clients. Membership is $100 for publishers and vendors. Membership dues are collected on an annual basis and runs from September 1 through August 31.
